jewellery care
Carved Stone & Pearl Pieces
Handle these pieces with extra care as they are naturally delicate and textured. Avoid water, steam, sports, and harsh chemicals, and always remove them before cooking, cleaning, or baking. Pearls are particularly sensitive to scratches, moisture, and heavy pendants, so treat them gently.
Gold or Silver Pieces with Set Stones
These pieces are durable and suitable for everyday wear. Showering is generally fine, but avoid contact with strong chemicals or abrasive surfaces to preserve their shine and integrity.
Cleaning
Keep your jewellery luminous with gentle care. For carved stones, wipe softly with a clean cloth, such as one used for glasses. Metals can be cleaned with mild soap, warm water, and a soft toothbrush, then dried thoroughly. Solid gold pieces with stones can safely be cleaned using a small home ultrasonic cleaner.
Storage
Store each piece thoughtfully to maintain its beauty. Keep every item in its own pouch or box, and avoid storing carved stones, pearls, and silver together, as they can scratch one another. Choose a dark, dry place, since prolonged sunlight can fade crystals like amethyst, rose quartz, citrine, and fluorite. Stones such as diamond, sapphire, ruby, spinel, garnet, and emerald remain stable in light. For energetic cleansing, some stones can be briefly immersed in clean water without chemicals.

Design & Modelling
Around 95% of Martina’s designs are sculpted entirely by hand in wax, reflecting her dedication to artistry and detail. Complex geometric pieces are 3D modelled by a specialised studio in Dublin, ensuring precision and structural balance in every creation.
Stone Setting
Every stone is hand-set by Martina using traditional techniques passed down through generations. For intricate pavé work or larger bespoke orders, she collaborates with a master setter in Dublin, maintaining her commitment to craftsmanship and ethical standards.
Gemstones & Diamonds
Large diamonds are sourced from trusted dealers in Vancouver, while smaller diamonds come from India, cut in the renowned jewellery hubs of Mumbai and Jaipur. Coloured stones are often second-hand or responsibly sourced from India and Europe. Many are hand-carved in-house by Martina into her distinctive mushroom-inspired forms.
